As we scale, we’re looking for a Senior Customer Success Specialist (AI & Automation Lead) to elevate our customer experience. You’ll work closely with customers each day while shaping how we use AI and automation to deliver smarter, faster and more seamless support.
This is a great role for someone who is completely customer obsessed and enjoys building better systems.
Our Customer team is largely office-based, as we find we do our best work when we’re together — collaborating, learning and building a strong, connected culture while delivering great outcomes for our customers.

What you’ll do:
AI & Automation Leadership
Own and optimise Intercom, including Fin AI, bots, workflows, and automation.
Design AI‑led workflows that resolve common queries quickly, with seamless hand‑offs to humans.
Use AI insights and performance data to improve response times, accuracy, and consistency.
Maintain and enhance the Help Centre and internal knowledge to ensure AI responses are accurate, compliant, and useful.
Customer Success & Specialist Support
Deliver high‑quality customer support via phone, email, and chat.
Clearly explain investment concepts, KiwiSaver, and savings products in plain English.
Manage customer complaints with empathy, fairness, and attention to detail.
Make proactive outbound calls to support onboarding and customer success.
Compliance & Operations
Partner with the AML Compliance Officer to ensure AI and customer interactions meet AML/CFT requirements.
Follow AML/CFT processes, including customer verification and enhanced due diligence where required.
Maintain accurate records in HubSpot and support daily operational tasks such as deposits and account verification.
You’ll be great if you bring:
2–3+ years’ experience in NZ financial services (banking, wealth, fintech, or similar).
Strong understanding of NZ financial products and regulations, with a genuine interest in helping people invest confidently.
Hands‑on experience with Intercom (or similar platforms), with a desire to go deep into AI tools and automation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can write for both customers and AI.
A strong interest about AI and automation, with a practical mindset for “training” and improving tools.
Analytical and comfortable using data and trends to drive better outcomes.
A natural problem‑solver with a “builder” mindset — you improve systems, not just one‑off issues.
Flexible and comfortable working in a fast‑moving, evolving environment.
